About Bethany & Beau Editing
After graduating from Northwest University with a degree in psychology, I jumped into the field of social services and research. Flash forward four years and I had worked with various populations including foster youth, teen moms, and homeless adults. The work was fulfilling but also taxing. With the impending arrival of my dear daughter, it became evident that I needed a career change that allowed for flexibility and lowered stress. This is when the idea of Beau Editing was born.

I caught the editing bug while aiding my mother with her first novel. I had always had a love for the written word and even took a grammar course in college just for fun! For many family and friends, I was (and still am) a go-to for help editing papers, resumes, applications, and more. I was also a valued teammate in the workforce as I was called upon to create workflows, case management documents, Excel sheets, and training presentations. I recently decided to pursue formal education on the subject of editing through the University of Washington Professional and Continuing Education and received my Certificate in Editing in Spring of 2024. Equipped with certification and a passion for the written word, I have launched Beau Editing to offer my keen eye to writers of all kinds.
I currently live in Spokane with my husband, our daughter, and our two golden retrievers, Peach and Cosmo. We enjoy hanging out in nature, playing video games, and watching Wes Anderson movies.
